I'll get on board with this using my Empire. I need some motivation to get painting again.

If anybody doesn't have a camera, they can bring the stuff to the club and I can sort out photos.

No camera isn't a reason for no blog!

I am actually sorely tempted to do a Skaven army instead - especially with the boxed set out soon. Being my first army they still have a special place in my heart...

...Not sure about painting a billion clanrats though! Would dipping be frowned upon?  :wink;m::

Also, the chaos marauder models are the only thing putting me off doing warriors right now (I hate them!). Anyone got any bright ideas for what I could use instead?

Do whatever army you want mate!

For marauders, what about beastmen?

That's not a bad idea actually. The new gor models are pretty nice. It's a shame that the new beastmen plastics are so expensive really (relative to some of the other kits)

Funkadelic Erik

You can probably pick up a load of the old beastie models on Ebay.

Whilst the Bestigor's are rather pricey, The Gors and Ungors are pretty good value IMO..

But we will soon be stocking Warlord Games plastic kits, and they do some rather nice Viking warriors that would make excellent marauders and at a fraction of the price as well

I'm up for this and will probably go with greenskins

Glad to see that people are getting into the spirit of things and signing up!

Just some answers to a couple of questions that have been whacked on here over the last few days... if anyone thinks ive got it drastically wrong then let me know and ill review my decision!

- Tomb Kings armies are allowed to have a Liche Priest as both the hierophant and army general at the 600 point level

- The 200 point allocation for each month includes any magic items on the character/unit painted. This basically ensures that the armies are kept in balance with each other as the challenge progresses and we start playing games. As we get to the later levels it is very possible you might have submissions that cost more than 200 points. In the case of units you will have to submit finished models that can be added to in later months (ie not a whole unit). If you are painting a character/monster that is more than 200 points then this can be submitted part painted to cover the appropriate level over more than one month

- No Palmer, Dogs of War are not allowed... this is not 2002!!!

Remember that this thread will be open until the 1st of September for people to change their minds etc. After that there will be a monthly thread for finished submissions. We encourage people to start their own logs for WIPs and discussion... if anyone is having issues with camers then feel free to bring bits to the club and me or Lee will sort out the pictures for you

Cheers!
In the style of Tom Hale... F*ck Ushabti!!!

But obviously list this when posted and the use that set up or points value of items in the 600 pt battles?
