Noah, because it doesnt have to be legal until 600 you can always paint up part units to make up the points each month. It doesnt have to be a legal list in every month until you get there.

Question.

When you say 200 points a month, does that 200pts include magic items?

For example If say I paint a Liche Priest (115pts) who I plan to have say 40pts of magic items do I count him as 115pts (base cost) or 155pts (cost + items)

I assume the latter, but need to check!

Or am I being too niggley?

Would anybody taking part have any issues if I took a unit of ogre bulls as my rare choice? I've got loads of the golgfag's mercenary ogre unit. They fit the theme, but not the Empire book.

I definately won't be taking a stank!

@ mike - I'd say the latter (points + items) as the aim is for us all to be on roughly the same points throughout. Steve?

Absolutely fine so long as I can take a unit of Khemri Flamers of Nagash.

Is the idea (if im reading the premise correctly) not that we build a legal 2000pt list?  Would Bull ogres not make it technically 'illegal'?
I'd maybe say its fine... but then you need to allow everyone else access to Dogs of War?

Additional Question.

If I paint a Tomb Prince but not a Liche Priest for the 600pt mark... I assume I can use him as Heirophant and general.

There's probasbly a few exceptions to be made when we're playing at t lower points level.

I wasn't going to take t ogres as part of the standard 2k list, but in the step to 2.5. The bulls do have the 'dogs of war' special rule though. I'll probable have a few in militia units earlier on

Cool I'll declare myself in with the High Elves. My two lots of High Elves from the Island of Blood set will do me most of the 2,000 points!

Lee, OK had the Dogs of War rule removed in the FaQ. They've now officially unofficialised the Dogs of War.
