Unseen Lerker GT @ Warhammer World, 27th & 28th Nov.

Greetings, wargamers!

Myself and Mr Andrew Chesney have decided to run a Warhammer GT using all of the good bits of the old Games Workshop GTs - the food, the venue, the crowd, the hardcore armies - but spice up the event with the addition of our own events co-ordination experience, loads of prizes, a modified rules pack, and, of course, you guys! :) It's an event specifically designed for those of you who simply can't get enough wargaming action, and will be a unique spin on a GT.

We have secured Warhammer World for the 27th and 28th of November, for a what promises to be a truly awesome 100 person GT-style event, and we hope that you'll mark the date in your calendars and join us there!

On offer will be the usual selection of fun games, whacky scenarios, interesting (and occasionally worrying) individuals, nice looking armies, yummy food, and loads and loads of prizes. Speaking of prizes...

We'll be giving away our usual array of Best In Race awards (15 small statuettes), 5 engraved tankards for Best General, Best Sportsman, Best Army (Players' Choice), Best Army (Judges' Choice), and Overall Champion. The Overall Champion also receives our traditional Big Replica Weapon trophy. :)

The ticket price will be approximately £42.50, which includes three meals, six games of Warhammer, a custom dice set, and everything else you need for a fun weekend of gaming.

Tickets on sale soon, and due to the offical GT's now being rather pointless and expensive, this might will be the best option for some no comp craziness at the home of WFB..

Yeah good point and a question I have just asked Bobo, if the points are too high, then this will be a DE / DoC fest once again, I'm hoping its 2K to give most races a chance...

this could work as a good replacement for the GT, time to sell some stuff on ebay to pay for a ticket!

They are running a bit of a pole on TWF to see what people want, I voted 2K with no special characters.

As the last event flopped I hope they take on board what the majority of players want to play.

As long as the event falls into these parameters there are four of us from MK who will be going.

Last event flopped? Not tempest I assume? Id be up for this. Never been to warhammer world or a gt and this might be as close as I get to one.

No they tried to put on an event on 14-15 Aug at WHW that unfortunately clashed with one well established event "Britcon" & a new major event at Maelstrom, that & holidays plus proximity to the ETC made tickets difficult to shift.

This one sounds great as I thouroughly enjoyed Tempest, they are running a bit of poll as well this time to get a feel for what people are looking for.

I cast my vote for 2000 with no special characters, but I would like to see some basic restrictions on double rare & triple specials so we dont get just a flood of tripple cannon, double doomwheel/hydra armies.

If you have not been to WHW this is a must.

I'd be up for this as my yearly heat 3 replacement on the assumption that:

1) I can stay in a dodgy hostel with Ol.
