Spiky Doubles Sunday 8th August WFB & 40K Reading

The Spiky Club are holding their annual Doubles Competition 'Spiky Doubles' which is for both Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Warhammer 40,000. The competition will be taking place on Sunday 8th August 2010 at the Spiky Club, Reading.

Competition Entry is £15 per player and includes Lunch as well as 3 Games.

Warhammer Fantasy Battle will be run under 8th Edition, with armies picked at 1000points each.

Warhammer 40,000 will be armies picked at 750points each.

Sure you dont want to do it as 7th Ed mate, it being so close to 8th Ed release

Hi mate, it's a month after 8th comes out so I think people will just want to get on with 8th edition. There will be no special characters, and lists will be written seperately with no lords allowed (most likely) to remove soem of the worst elements that clould pop up.

No lords sounds fine mate, any restrictions on who can team up?
No same race is always a winner (and maybe no DE / DoC team up)

No double rares maybe to stop two units of flamers, I think you can get 2 units in at 250points.

Only doc unit that has suffered is Plague Bearers, or any nurgle unit with ward + regen, Khorne heralds losr the 0 As abilty, but if non comped and if the crazy banners are allowed, DoC will still rule..

It looks like I wont be attending any tournies for about 6 months or so now, till this madness about every tournie needs to be uncomped ends....
