Now I have the new book & army PDF's I aim to have the rules pack out by next Monday.

Payment will be by paypal (preferable) or cheque (or cash if you are at midlands open) details will be in the pack.

Mark, if you're still going to allow the Indy GT chaos dwarf book, one bit of comp would be needed for how blunderbuss would work in 8th.

With potentially larger units kicking around, the ability to hit every model on 4+ is obscene! I'd reccomend just replacing it with the 'volley fire' rule.

Tbh, I'm probably the only person who'd be taking chaos dwarfs so I'd be fine to take Chaos Warriors instead just to save confusion whilst people are still getting the hang of 8th!

Hi John, sorry you cant make it.

Lee, youre right unless an errata is produced for the CD I think it would be best to keep them out as it will be complex enough for people.

I think the volley fire idea is excellent & I hope they adopt it.

Hoping to have the pack out for Monday.

You must have a copy of the 8th edition Warhammer rule book & your appropriate army book along with a copy of any errata you wish to use. All GW FAQ & Errata will be in place (link below)

Army lists to be submitted to Borland.mark@talk21.com 14 days prior to event

A payment of £5 will be required; this can be sent as a Pay Pal "Gift" to the email address above or by cheque/postal order to Mark Borland, 19 Hesketh Road, Yardley Gobion, Northamptonshire, NN12 7TS.

Set-up

All terrain will be pre-set, please ensure you agree terrain effects with your opponent prior to the start of the game, if you disagree please roll a dice or if you have a serious disagreement consult the Player Umpires.
The first round will be pre-drawn, after the first round the Swiss system will be used, club mates & duplicate opponents will be swapped where possible (Organizers decision will be final)

All games will follow the "Battle Line" scenario on page 144, a warning will be given when you have 30 minutes remaining, please agree with you opponent to finish on an equal number of turns if you believe you cannot complete the full six turns.
                              
Victory Points will be allocated as per the standard rules on page 144, Work out your Tournament Points using the table below.

Army Selection

Armies may have a maximum of 1500 points

Armies must be selected from a current Army book, no back of book lists, Lustria, Storm of Chaos, or White Dwarf Lists may be used.
All armies to be painted with at least three colours, Unpainted models will be removed as casualties.

Army Selection Restrictions

No Named characters or champions of any kind.
A Maximum of 10% rather than the standard 25% may be spent on Lords.
Long range Missiles (19"+) are restricted to 40 shots (all war-machines count as 5 shots)
No duplicate Rare or triple Special choices allowed (High Elves may have triple rare & quadruple special).



Army list queries may be submitted to Borland.mark@talk21.com prior to the event.

Terrain
For Simplicity all terrain will fall into the following standard categories:
Hills (All hills will be block line of sight),
Forests
Rivers
Marshland
Obstacles (includes all ruins, piles of rocks, hedges etc)
Buildings
Hazardous ground will be in play that will be treated the same as Marshland except that they are not aquatic features (i.e. Skinks cannot ignore)

The hall will be set-up ready on the Friday evening, so anyone who wants to come along & either:
a) Help set-up or b) Have a practice game, or even both.

Awards will be given for 1st – 3rd Place & Best Army

Best Army Votes
During the mid-day break you will be asked to vote for your favourite army based upon painting, theme, conversion etc. You may vote for three armies, your first choice will receive 3 points, second choice 2 & third choice 1. The highest total points will receive the award (an independent judge will vote in the case of a draw).
