God no, 8th ed is not going to do anything to stop 2 steam tanks, 12 flamers, 300 shades...
Funny how many DE / DoC players I have read saying this

Some restrictions will be needed on some brackets to control the character level if nothing else, so planning to have a good read through army books & look at how some of the more broken Lord & hero choices come out points wise.

Granted that 1500 auto exludes greater daemons but Dark elves are another matter.

To be honest though, the comp is pretty good as it is, I reckon Mark and me  will look at it after 8th comes out and amend accordingly, but dont expect this event to be a no comp event, cause that is just not going to happen, by appealing to club members we are trying to have a fun event where players of all races and experience can attend (maybe their first tournie) and not have your usual top 4 grind off that fills most of the events..

Simply put, we will not have a hard time filling this event, so if you dont like the comp and you want a non comp event, then this is not the event for you and simply dont come..

Ol - don't get me wrong, I don't mind the comp for the event. I just wanted to make the point that even if you used the 25% cap on lords on the DoC that you couldn't include one anyways so the extra limit of only 15% lord didn't mean anything.

Of course for Dark Elves you'd need the shooting cap, and there should also be a magic cap too.

Maybe consider having a race cap? If its a small event (under 20 players), then if you have no more than 2-3 or the same race attend you will force some ppl to take different armies.

If there's any more space, I might be keen to join in. Cheap tournament near London = win!

Probably lizzies for me, or perhaps I'll try the warriors out if I get round to painting them.
