one of the items I'm currently selling is a HE plastic BSB (from the kit), it's going for nearly £17 atm!

linky

That's a fair whack more than the whole kit costs from OG! :nutzo:

More money for me though!

It's all about the paint job. Well done.

with it selling for this much I'm tempted to message the guy who came 2nd and ask if they want me to paint one up for them!

Well you know ebay's a funny old place when 2nd hand stuff sells for more than you can go to a local shop and buy it for.

I think some people just get adicted to the bidding process and end up bidding far more than they would if they approached it rationally.  That's why I use sniping tools for my bids - I put the max I'm willing to pay in and then just leave it. If I win, I win, if I don't, I don't, but at least I'm not constantly checking the progress and being tempted to up the maximum level of my bid.

With regard to your model you're selling, is this tempting you to paint up another one to sell?

All about the paint job mate, nice earner there squire!

Dave

best part of £30 is a nice return.  I might have to try my hand at flogging stuff soon!

mattyp

Read the book 'Predictably Irrational' explain the mental process used by ebay to bid up stuff way beyond its value.

Also people are just daft sometimes.
