This is probably known already, but I had conformation from a trusted source that the % split for characters will be 25% Heroes & 25% Lords not 25% characters, so hero hammer is still on.

Even at this early stage I suspect that army banding will work quite well by just reducing the % fields for higher bands whilst increasing them for lower bands.

It affects a few things but not much, a greater daemon can only have 50 points if daemonic items at 2000points, and you won't be able to take a star dragon at 2000 either and anyone else on a dragon won't have much kit.

I imagine the 25% minimum core will upset the balance more as a lot of people have gotten used to minimun 3 units of cheap chaff to take and will have to drop some juicy stuff to fit in the obligiatry 25%. The main concern I have will be if they let you take as many characters as yu can squeeze into the 25% brackets or if it will still be 1 lord and 3 heroes at 2000points.

Does 25% Lords mean that in a 2k game I can take 500 points worth of Lords.

So for Empire (depending on Load out) I can take an Empire General and an ArchLector for that allowance

All other sources (Warseer etc) seem to confirm no limit on the number of characters although there appears to be limits on multiples of special & rare choices.

Just worked out at 2,250 you can have 14 goblin big bosses with great weapons!!!!!!!!!

Thats a unit of heroes.

Looks like I can finally take some engineers for my empire at last since they won't use those vital hero slots. Although with gues range supposdely going I'm not sure what they'll add for a cannon at least.
