I have some Chaos Dwarf Daemonic Engine Questions, if anyone can help.

1) The Daemonic Engines are listed as Monsters & handlers which have a ranged attack, does this mean they can move & shoot?

2) The Earthshaker cannon fires as a stone thrower it then states to use the 5" template to check which units are shaken, are the wounds resolved with a 5" template as well?

3) The Death Rocket fires as a cannon without a bounce roll, hit are resolved at S3 but are they D6 wounds like a cannon?

Any help or direction to an FAQ for the Indy GT book greatly appreciated.

This'll be like the old Hellcannon, which was the small template for working out damage, then you placed the larger template over the top to work out the area of effect for additional shaken.

Cheers so the 5" template replaces the old 2D6 roll for earth shake effect.

One down two to go!

The ones that fire like a particular warmachine will be move or shoot, so anything resembling a stone thrower or cannon must stay still. Not sure on the cannon question, normal cannons normally do D3 wounds by default...

as said by Dan, any that fire like a stone thrower or cannon are move-or-fire

Erik's correct on this one, basically put the big and small templates down.  Little is damage, large is shakey

I'd say that it doesn't do multi-wounds.  I'm having a poke around on CDO to try finding a definate answer

Thanks for the help guys.

The Earthshaker question is sorted.

The exact wording for the death rocket is as follows & would support the shots being multi wound.

" The Death Rockets fires as a cannon as described in the warhammer rulebook. However, there is no bounce roll, instead place the 5" template where the rocket hits & resolve damage. All hits are resolved at S3 (including the model under the hole) with the armour peircing rule"

The Daemonic Engines states that they follow the rules for monsters & handlers, so surely they would follow the same rules as salamanders/Razerdons & Hydras. Warseer seems to think this is correct.

Lee I cannot access CD online so will be gratefull for any info you can find.

A Hydra can move and shoot because it is a breath Weapon not because its a monster and handler,

Salamanders are the same.

Cheers, what about Razadons?

The closest thing is the Cygor which states he can move & shoot, so I think that the intention is that they cant, but RAW says they can.

Same with the Death Rocket, I think the intention is that it does 1 wound but RAW says it will do a D6.

I have passed this onto the TO at Maelstrom so they can rule on it.

Cheers for the input.

Not sure on Razordons

Cannons do D3 as Dan says, its only Great Cannons that do D6 (Empire being the only
army available to it, so I think worst case its 1 wound, best its D3 but see what the TO says.

What does Warp Lightning Cannon say about multi wounds (as it fires like a cannon as well)

Razordons are NOT monster and handler units.

As has been stated a fair few times, if anything fires like a warmachine, then that means it fires by staying still.
