GW have no real valid competition for what they produce. Mantic Miniatures and Black Tree Miniatures are not very good, and most others only do a handful of minatures that are just as expensive as GW, plus all metal. Gaemzoen is all metal, and looks oversized so I doubt you'll see many armies made entirely of there figures.

Until someone can seriously produce good plastic fantasy range (not jsut the odd models) and people want to play warhammer and warhammer 40,000 then we'll have to buy from them and they can continue to push the price up.

Unless 8th edition sucks and we all stop playing of course then they might have to have a re-think...

If VAT goes upto 22% as is rumoured, they could be going up again....

22%! I'd heard 20% but not that high, wonder if all the shops that conveniently absorbed the recent 2.5% and charged us the same will be so kind this time round - think not. Credit to GW though for keeping the 2.5% discount all the way through, lots of high street stores didn't.

vat won't go above 20% (if it goes up at all, i suspect massive cuts over tax increases anyway)
