Wargame Website

Hi folks,

Just writing to let you know about the Wargame Tournaments Website I run.

My aim is simple:- to provide a filterable list of forthcoming wargame tournaments and onward links to the relevant discussion forum or tournament website so you can get to rulespacks and register.

I've currently got over 130 tournaments across several countries listed and cover around 15 game systems at present (adding more all the time as I add the tournaments for them)

If you're running a tournament and want it added to the site, or there are details that need updating or correcting, have make suggestions about features you'd like to see on the site, or just say hi, send me a PM here on OG Games Forum or use the contact form on the site.

For those of you who have used the site before, you'll be pleased to know that, thanks to the guys over at Unseen Lerker who I've now teamed up with, the site has had a much needed lick of virtual paint and no longer looks like "My first website".

Yep, just one more member of the UL collective.

Incidentally, I think topic reply notifications may have stopped working (for me at least) as I didn't get a notification of your reply

I think that was as a result of me answering via my iphone forum app, did you get a notification of this post?

Well, I'm still slaving away on the major site updates to improve the info presented about tournaments (although if you're eagerly awaiting these don't hold your breath as the amount of time I have available to work on the site has dropped somewhat since becoming a dad and having a shorter commute into work) but I have now added Twitter updates to the site.

Or at least, that is to say, I've now got a script that runs every hour to check for newly added tournaments and which then tweets a link to the details on site.  When the new super-whizzy version of the site gets released, the tweets will go live as soon as the tournament info goes live on the site.

Anyway, the point of all the above waffle is that you can now follow the site on Twitter (@WargameWebsite) and get notifications of any events added.
