Details on the battalion are out  40 Clanrats, 20 Plague Monks, two Rat Ogres, three Pack Masters and six Giant Rats.

A rather decent set I think

But if they'd have put  one of the new machines in there they'd sell loads more

Which machine could they have put in there? The Doomwheel is a rare choice, so not good for building the core of an army.

Interesting post by Ben C on TWF, apparently the storm banner has "1 use only" in all versions of the book other than English language ones, is that a portent of the errata?

Only a complete tool would have read it as 'can be used over and over again'.... i.e most WAAC players!.

As much as part of me wants it to be more than one use only, it would be totally ridiculous...

I've had 2 games vs the Skaven now. Seems to be that the essentially unbreakable big blocks hang back and try to retain their points by virtue of having so many models while a couple of units try to break through and cause shocking amounts of damage (Doomwheel, Plague Censers and of course, the Abomination. Not a model any of us should ever look forward to seeing on the other side of the table!). A bit like the new Lizardmen so far then...

Storm Banner is a bit of a damp squib as one-use only mind, so it prevents flying for one turn, and makes me roll a 4+ before using Banshee scream. Okay yes please do spend 50 points on that :D

Yep I can see the Skaven being quite a boring army to play against in a non comp tournie level, massive points denial with cheap hard to kill units trying to get a MV...

As for the storm banner, its the same as the rest of out magic items....rubbish...
