Zombie Pirate Mordheim Warband

Hi guys, this isn't completely a painting thread (not at all yet).  It will be where I keep all the fluff/painting for my Mordheim warband.

I have recently joined in the Mordheim Lustria Campaign GM'd by the great Lee and have opted for an undead warband.  Since we're in Lustria I've decided (with a hefty, black-pearl-infused nudge from the GM) to theme it around the Luthor Harkon Zombie pirate fluff.

The basic fluff introduction for my warband is as follows:

A ship sets out from Marienburg for the Southlands.  One of the passengers on board is one Count Othman Megorisi, a mysterious character who is rarely seen around the ship, especially during the day.  This leads to whisperings from the crew and mistrust of this elusive character.  The ships surgeon, Dr Stephen Maturin, is also not overly trusted by the crew, he always seems to prescribe amputation as the cure for any mallady.  He also appears obssessed with never giving up on any injured or ill sailor, believing they can be healed no matter what.  He constantly searches for new ways to stitch his patients back together and keep them alive. 

The suspicion of the crew deepens when the Count begins visiting Maturin and lending him books, which the doctor eagerly reads.  Count Megorisi promises Maturin he can help him become a better doctor and eventually find a way to prevent any of his crew from ever dying.

Near the coast of Lustria the ship is attacked by a band of pirates.  The Count allays many of the crew's mistrust of him in the ensuing combat with his seemingly supernatural swordsmanship and ferocious strength.  Following the encounter not one of the crew appears to be dead, any that were hurt (even those with the most grievous injuries) return to the crew's fold, although they no longer talk at all and many still appear to have wounds which are not dressed. 

The ship then anchors just off the Lustrian shoreline and a small group (the Count, the doctor, the first mate and several deckhands) head ashore to set up a camp.  When the party awaken in the morning the ship has completely disappeared.  There is absolutely no sign of the rest of the crew, the captain has gone too.  The first mate submits to the Count's nobility and he takes control of the remaining crewmembers.  The band head in land in search of civilization, plunder, exploration.


So my initial warband consisited of:

Vampire (the count) - heavy armour, handgun
Necromancer (the doctor) - spell of doom
Dreg (first mate - Gibbs)
Dreg (sailor - Bootstrap Bill)
2 ghouls and 7 zhombies (all sailors)
direwolf (ships dog)

The ongoing fluff is that the doctor still doesn't quite understand what he's dabbling in.  The count has shown him a way to 'save' any of the crew who are injured or even killed.  He is a nervous wreck, not quite understanding what's going on and not realising he is under the will of a powerful, vampire.  The first mate and his human deckhand are also in the dark, the mistrust both the count and the doctor but are willing to follow them for the time being, they're freaked by the other sailors with them (all zombies in reality), but the count keeps a powerful spell of illusion in play to confuse them.

I will be converting up this warband and pictures will appear over the coming weeks of my efforts!  I recently played my first game at OG and routed, but got enough crowns to buy a 3rd dreg.  He will be the captain of the ship, completely raving mad, driven insane by 'the crew tried to eat me!' and often sits in the corner gibbering.  He washed ashore just before the party set off inland.
