Places are full but these are only provisional reservations, the rules pack is not even out yet, so there will be drop outs.
I have joined the drop out list and I think this will be a fun event.
Marcus is a great guy and knows what needs to happen in WFB..

Anyone else up for this, if so get your name down on the TWF thread asap..

Intro from Marcus below:
QuoteJust a quick heads up to give you the date for the Meltdown for next year. In case anyone doesn't know, it's a WFB tournament held at the Adelphi hotel in Liverpool (which makes it an 'on campus' event for those who don't like going outside  ).

Basic outline:
It'll be 2250pts, using a 20-0 victory point system, probably 3 scenarios & 2 pitched battles, ETC-like restrictions will be in use (magic caps, shooting caps, no duplicate rare/triplicate special) along with hard comp restrictions on the big 4 and the nastiest elements of the rest (Star Dragons *cough*).

As ever, there will be prizes for top 3, most sporting and best army, along with the wooden spoon and the Captain Ahab award.

There are a couple of significant changes this year; the Saturday evening curry buffet is gone  , to be replaced by buffet lunches on both the Saturday and Sunday - no more legging it to Subway  . Also, we have moved from the Pierce Suite into the banqueting hall. Edit: we are now having the full hall, numbers are capped at 110

Price will be £27/head, and the hotel is running rooms at £36/person/night in a twin room for b&b and excellent convenience.

As I said, this is just a basic heads up, the rules pack needs to be written yet and I won't be taking any money until you have had the opportunity to read it in full and decide if it's for you. However, I will be starting an entry list on here which will work on a first come first served basis.

Is anyone going to go to the Adelphi again? Are you brave enough?

Seems as though the club challenge will be there next year, which is a shame.

At night he prances about like some sort of bearded West Country metalhead pixie, planting pink horrors in peoples' army cases and cackling while chanting his mantra, 'it's double sixes my love, take them off, just take them all off'

I think if there are a few of us going, we can have a good time..(we don't need to leave the hotel you know)
There are 6 places left as Marcus has increased the numbers...
