Did some more work on the Empire/ Conquistadores over the last few weekends. These are all the Greatswords I could make with the spare bits I have. 15 with command is not a bad haul from bits boxes alone. Later on I may congratulate myself with an expensive box of them and I'm sure I'll be able to get the unit up to 30 with little problem.




Quite pleased with the way the armour on the left arms had turned out and it was relatively easy to do. Definitely a GS confidence building exercise but I'm going to need to make more heads to complete the unit.

Another mounted Conquistador, this time with a lance I will probably add a feather to his hat at some point. I like the way these guys are turning out and I think I can probably get away with less barding on the horses so this conversion could be a real possibility for larger numbers of mounted guys.



Final picy is of some unit fillers for the Skeletons. I don't want to make too many of them or make them too big but a few here and there will save me having to paint too many more Skeletons. Perhaps another 10 or so which will let me field 2 units of 40 with some proper  GW ones (the new ones) to fill out as I raise.


Going to spray these with GW rough coat just to give the statues and pillars a little texture. They look a little clean at the moment.

I did some work on my scratch built Great Swords as well, Found 2 sets of the Milita arms and another massive sword by itself, so now have a unit of 24 Greatswords.

I find if you have some guys with their swords sheathed or on their backs you can give the unit a bit more of a character. I have a few of my guys brandishing pistols.
