Quick question as I don't have the BRB handy. Can a mounted character (on horsey) join a unit of (US1 on foot) skirmishers?

If so, does it affect any of their rules eg 360 los, moving through difficult terrain etc?

I'm looking at the Tempest Rising comp, and am thinking about using a unit of Forsaken, which become skirmishers for the tourney. So could I put eg an Exalted Hero on chaos steed in with them?

As far as i can see he can join the unit but:

As he is not a skirmisher they may no longer ignore difficult terrain
The units direction of movement will be limited by his movement (i.e. not 360)
Shooters will no longer have to take a -1 penalty to shoot at them.

Essentially he will gain no benefit & they will lose all of theirs.

Cheers KG, I think that puts paid to that plan!

Nah, he can't anyway, only US1 models on foot can join skirmishers. Says so somewhere... in one of them sections. I'm helpful, me! :cool3:

Also Mounted character is something like Fast Cav negates the Fast Cav ruling.

Pretty sure only models on foot can join skirmishing units as Dan alluded to

Yup, he has to be on foot to join a skirmishing unit.

Although, you can put a mounted character into Fast Cav without them losing their special movement rules. I used to do it with a lord on dark steed in dark riders
