So, I'll start off by saying I know very little about 40k, fluff I know a bit about, rules, pretty much bugger all. Now a few of us at the watford club are in the same boat and we were thinking about building up from kill teams to something along the lines of 40k in 40 minutes. I know 6th ed is pretty much round the corner, but does anyone know of any 5th ed kill team rules or where I could get them?

Nick

Damnit. Just posted long answer and lost it.

Short version - 4th Ed KT rules are still very usable in 5th, with a few tweaks.

The official alternative scenarios book from a couple of years ago updated them and represents the 'official' 5th Ed version of Kill Team. I don't rate it much though - I'd go back to 4th and try to rewrite it yourself.

If you need a copy of the 4th ed rules let me know, I've still got the book kicking around somewhere.

Could I get a look at that myself, sounds intriguing

Blotthrower

if I could have a copy of the 4th ed rules that would be great thanks Nick. I'm going to try out the sisters of battle, I've got the witchhunters codex knocking about somewhere and I've heard there is a white dwarf list that's superceeded it.

White dwarf last year replaced the codex and imo completely screwed over the book fun wise (immolators, my favourite unit, got a stupid nerf that ruined them) :-(.

But good luck to you, I hear people are still doing ok with them , I do love the sisters models.
There is no problem in life that can't be solved with Heroic Killing Blow:
Plague Furnace, Abomination, Hydra, Wyvern, Arachnarok, Engine of the Gods, Zombie Dragon, Vargulf, Hellcannon. To be continued...

If we assume that there are infinite universes, then in at least one of them, I'm banging Emma Watson. Awesome!

Nick

I'll bring the 4th ed book into the club when I'm next down (maybe next Thursday, or I'll give it to the scruffalo if not). I don't have the scenarios book, TBH you can probably go into a GW and have a flick through a copy.
