Nice one Dan

Game 5 sounded real fun.... :bash;m:

I am so surpised tnat Jack won overall with LM, there must have been some really bad LM players there, for them to be so far down....

Dave

Great review dan.

My experiences of the wizarding hat - probably not worth it on a 145pts WE lord. Makes him a very expensive stupid liability that can't flee.  Awesome fun though.

I'll run through my games in a more Julienesque manner

Game 1 - James's brets - danced about, my stuff died, his didn't. Lost.
Game 2 - Bernard Lewis Beasts - BFtP his army covered the width of the table, I lost.
Game 3 - Glen Hoskins Ogres - Paniced his ironguts out the tower T1, shot his stuff to bits, slaughtermaster blew up on a 2 dice 'because I can' cast. dryads in tower, I won.
Game 4 - VC, all went wrong, stupid forest double 6'd ld into face of grave guard & blood knights lost.
Game 5 - Calum Beasts Banners scenario - He had a wall of banners, I had nothing to kill them. lost when he got frenzy charge on unit in building needing 5's to hit 4's to wound with 31 attacks did 18 wounds, then sniped off my wild riders with magic. Loss.
Game 6 - Dwarfs, boring. Loss

Ok game 6 is a lie, it was dwarfs but it was anything but boring.  Playing Chris appleford who I'd had a practice game against on the Friday night.  Basically threw our armies at each other and then my shooty stuff danced around.  Was awesome fun and terrain killed 350 pts worth of troops. I 'forgot' about a block of dwarfs in the middle of the table, partly because I thought I could flee forgetting the stupid had but mostly I just didn't see them... That lost me all 3 characters and a unit of archers at the second flee after combat. I rear charged a unit of xbows with 2 wild riders, fluffed all attacks, warded his 1 hit and broke him, only to fail to catch on the pursue. At one point he had all his units on my side of the table and I had all but 1 on his.  Properly crazy game and was a great way to finish, but I did lose

Veldemere

Yeah, sorry for the confusion Tom, it is 18" the range of the spell, but as Ol says there are only about 4 armies affected by it, and even then the effect is rarely this lethal, you got unlucky and will forever go down in legend on forums when ogre players boasts that they once heard of someone who got that combo off to devastating effect.

Good batrep Dan, and well done, I can't believe that someone can do so well with skill, the rules must be broken "ZOMG the interwebz sez vis list carnt be beats, gobbos mus be brken!!!!"
