Will probably post up a quick summary here - I'm going to be doing a tournament blog over on the HeelanHammer forums which you can find here which may be more detailed, although it depends on whether I have time to take any notes given that so far I've not managed to play a 2999 point game in less than 5 hours and we only get 3 at the Maul...

Ok, quick summary time then.

Game 1 vs Mark Wildman's Empire and as expected got a pasting.

Game 2 vs John Neicho's Warriors of Chaos.  Great game, two armies whacking chunks out of each other, was a high scoring draw.

Game 3 vs Peter Carroll's Skaven.  Blew my Arch Mage up 1st turn and deployed my Sword Masters wrong so I couldn't get them into combat with the Hell Pit Abomination.  Got massacred although I still managed to scrape about 1200 VPs from the game.

Game 4 vs Matt Turnbridge's Vampire Counts. Again my deployment didn't help as for second game in a row I couldn't get my Sword Masters to where they needed to be.  Also forgot to move Level 2 into a bulding in Turn 1 where he could have started trying to Searing Doom the Black Knights - probably didn't use enough dice when trying that all game as I think he failed to cast most times despite using 4 or 5 dice. Massacre to Matt

Game 5 vs Matt Perriss' Empire.  Got first turn and managed to take the advantage.  Matt deployed his War Altar and Stank on his right flank which was a mistake as they weren't near any of my main units.  If he'd run them down the middle or the left flank he'd have massacred me, as it was it was a minor win to me.

Overall I came 64th out of 72 which was better than I was aiming for.
