Games Day

Just wondering if anyone has been to a Games Day before or is planning to go to this year's one? Is it worth me considering - answers on a postcard to...

good question, as aside from seeing the new stuff, and saving time of the forgeworld minis, along with the golden daemon stuff I have never really seen the point

Depends on how much you like standing in queue's surrounded by millions of kids.
Me & Ritchie went years ago and it was not such a big event then and it was good fun, got to talk to designers and sculptors, cheap deals on advance stuff etc..

Now the feedback from the last couple has been very very very busy, big queue's for the good stuff, like the Forgeworld exhibit, great displays, lousy food....

I last went in 2001 (I think). I was getting to the point where it was the same displays every year, too many kids, and too many queues. Combine this with the ticket price getting ramped up each year, and we jacked it after going for 4-5 on the trot. They also closed the bar area.

It's nigh on impossible to enjoy seeing the Golden Daemon stuff too, as they put it in the most narrow section of the arena - the crowds were silly.

Not sure if I'm tempted to go because of the Chaos Warrior model (even though it will blatantly be on eBay)!
