Oh, and great album called "Climb the Woode" by Possessed. Band from the early Seventies who released one album before, sadly, they all died when their tourbus crashed into a petrol tanker*.

Bit of a heads up here. BBC4 are showing a documentary on the 23rd Oct, about the Krautrock movement. Most of the big names (Faust, Neu!, Can, Kraftwerk) are mentioned, and should be a good watch.

Pretty heavily into the Krautrock/Kosmiche stuff, and hoping it'll do this music justice. Cluster* will be probably be overlooked (as normal), but I suspect Harmonia might be in there.

If the BBC dig up any old footage for a "Krautrock at the BBC", that'll be me done 'till Christmas.


*to not feature Roedelius would be criminal. Child actor, conscripted into the Nazi youth in the last days of WWII, caught on the wrong side of the wall, escaped, returned and spent years in a Communist prison, babysitter for the Baader Meinhof lot and one of the inventors of modern electronic music. One of the best biographies that I've read.
