If the main event - Metal Britannia - is up to the standards of the others in the series, it'll be an evening well spent.

Chez Dunn has recently been showing the following:

Nobody Knows - Japanese film, right bloody downer.

Cobra Verde - Herzog does a western in Africa. Great stuff. Kinski chucks a mental at least five times, and shows the correct way of dealing with a local dispute.......by charging a fortress with 200 topless tribeswomen and waving a sword about, of course. "In my country they called me the The Snake". Hooray!

Taste of Fear - Their trying to drive me maaaaad! Good twisty one from Hammer, and another one off the list.

The Comeback - Don't open that box Jack...... Jack Jones sings and adds a certain crappy charm to a charmingly crappy film, containing bad songs, good cars and the fastest decomposition in cinema (not counting the "vampire in the sunlight" ones, or Ming the Merciless). Bill Owen (yes, that one) causes major "soil yer trousers" moment.

Dracula AD 1972 - Peter Cushing running full pelt down the Kings Road in a sharp suit, accompanied by a rollocking funk soundtrack - !@%$#%@ yeah! Shame about the rest of the film.

Death Wish 3 - How do you improve a franchise that is already absurdly over the top? Why, dear reader, by handing it a machine gun! Bronson dishes out the pain to various unscary, slightly homoerotic, hoodlums in New York. The last 30mins is possibly the best action movie filmed in the '80s. Everyone should see this. At least one person receives business end of a rocket launcher from about six feet away.

Death Wish 4 - Don't bother, even Michael Winner turned it down. When did Bronson become an expert in the chop socky stakes?

Is the new Werner Herzhog film 'Bad lieutenant' a re-make of the Harvey Keitel 90's film?

I believe its a different film, but in the same series. If that makes sense. Not a sequel, or remake, but a relocation of the main character. Herzog claims to have not seen the Ferrera one, or even heard of Ferrera (which I suspect is him being sarky).

To be honest, he is Werner Herzog, which means he can do whatever he wants.
