I have caught snippets of channel 4's afternoon Bogey season.

The Barefoot Contessa, The Caine Mutiny.... shame I only get to see tiny bits, but I have seen them before and they are always a good distraction. If they put on The Big Sleep or The Maltese Falcon I'm afraid I might be cancelling a few meetings! :wink;m::

About ten years ago, I went through a spell of watching loads of Bogie films. Maltese Falcon is a cracker, and there was another one (Noir) about an ex paratrooper trying to find out what has happened to his mate. Can't remember the name. Oh, and I once saw a strange one where he played an artist who's best work is produced when he murders people - very odd little film. Bogie is miscast, but still good.

Casablanca is always a good watch too - I enjoyed watching that, followed by Citizen Kane on a long plane journey last year.
Official Sniper, Troll, Bad Egg and Forum Antagonist.

I liked Iron man. Thought it was a good film.

Been cinema a lot recently. Saw Wolverine Origins, Star Trek, Angels and Deamons, amoungst others.

Wolverkine and Star Trek were very good I thought.

Angels and Deamons - if your going to do a film of a book, at least stick to the plot of the book for SOME of the film.....seriously.  :bash;m:

I am a huge comic book fanboy and a fan of Iron Man, but the film was just ok imho. I know they wanted to bring it up to date to fit in with the modern political climate, but there were a number of performances just phoned in. Also there was little of the essence of Iron Man, it was like a batman film, they just changed the costume. I suppose my feeling was, could do better!

Not my favourite character anyway, some of the acting was hooey, not good at all, typical marvel film really...

Oh I dunno... I loved Iron Man, despite the fact that I absolutely hate the comicbook character. Mr Downy Jnr even made me like Tony Stark... something I thought would never happen.

Unfortunately Iron Man suffered from being released just after The Dark Knight, so expectations were sky high, when in reality I think its one of the most successful (adaptation-wise) Marvel films so far.
Hulk, both of them, was "meh", I like the X-Men films but I'm a mutant fanboy so I recognise the bias (except Wolverine, that was a pile of steaming ****), I don't hate Daredevil (sue me), Elektra is just awful (but I think it'll make a so-bad-its-good list one day) and the two Fantastic Four offerings were a complete waste of time (The Incredibles did it better)...

I could go on... but I shan't. :)
Well Hello!

I'm not saying she's my hero but who wouldn't kill for gowns like those?

I just watched Sir Henry at Rawlinson End...

I would try and explain the plot etc, but it's so out there I think you'd better just watch the trailer:

It is just brilliant.

Our opinions on many of these seem to differ!

Iron man, downey jr was perfect casting, good film.
not seen the edward norton hulk yet, so no comment.
really liked wolverine, i liked the xmen films less as they went on though (mostly cos X3 tried to cram too much in)
daredevil and elektra were a waste of time
FF1 was crud, far too much set up, whereas i thought the second one was good, straight into the main story, yay! (and silver surfer woo!)

Looking forwards to the next 4-5 years for marvel films:
Iron man 2+3
Captain america
Thor
Nick fury (with Sam L Jackson)
Magneto (methinks could be a meh)
Ultimates/avengers (possibly 2+3)
FF3
Spidey 4,5,6
Silver surfer/galatcus
Doctor Strange

there's probs some more that ive missed, but yay!
