Post by: fatolaf on October 22, 2010, 12:31:42 pm
The sequel expected out in Dec 2010, is now available to Pre-Order (http://www.oggames.co.uk/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30848) at OG Games. 15% off the RRP.

If this sells as quickly as Castle Ravenloft did, it wont be in stock very long, so order now to avoid dismay!

I wonder how this will play? I hope they take the time to add something a little fresh beyond slightly tweaked abilities / monsters / missions. The original I do enjoy, but it feels one step short of a great game for me. Perhaps thats a concequence of a high randomness quota allied with a very mechanical feel that gets in the way of the immersion. It always feels more like abstract puzzle in a dungeon crawl's clothing. Whatever it is as we play more missions the game increasingly feels incomplete, like it's missing one or two killer mechanics or features that would take it over the top to the realms of great games.
