Back to some daemons, as with the Beasts of Nurgle I painted these up for a Neil Peckett to borrow for Tempest but nice to have a couple of units started for my own army.
Furies – Kinda done with a nurgle scheme but would probably just used them unmarked in my armies as they're basically just throwaway junk.

Really enjoying the scattergun approach at the moment, also painted up 5 more horse archers for my TK (no pics) as I'll be running them at tempest and made a few movement trays so the army now has everything magnetised up and on movement trays so it's ready to go.

Next up will probably be back to the Brets and hopefully finish up the grail knights which have been kicking about for a while.

First up 10 Plague Bearers, lovely plastic kit and I really like the way they look.

Another 10 plaguebearers - not using the GW kit

These guys are made out of a real mishmash of my bits box.  Kroot & Beastmen bodies & heads.  Lizardmen, Ghoul and Marauder arms, some WoC weapons.  Paintjob ties them into the plaguebearer theme and quite happy with how they've ended up.  Since the picture I've added the blood effects similar to the original 10 PBs. As I said I really like the GW kit but before it was released I'd started picking up a few bits with the intent of trying to kitbash something to use as plaguebearers out of plastic.  Decided I still wanted to test myself to see how they'd come out.

Horrors - These are still WIP but wanted to have a range of skintones in the unit

Dwarf Lord on Shieldbearers

Still the basing to go but with this model I've finally got every option in the dwarf book available to field, weird that one of the most popular is my last to be done but that's just how I roll!

Lovely eclectic bunch of figures there dude. You're Plaguebearer conversions are great and will fit in nicely with the GW ones.

And I do love the old Harpy models (realise I am post too late with that), have a flock in my own Beastmen army.

Hahaha think I am the same with Dwarfs, I have everything in the book painted bar the useful Shieldbearers (like yourself), Anvil and Gryocopter! Must do them one day.

I painted up 10 reavers for a friend to borrow at the Tempest event this weekend, only done as a really quick paintjob, 4 hrs for the lot and using Army Painter Darktone dip for the shading effect.

Plus still plugging away at the daemons!

How is this possible, I do not understand!  :endit:

I think Dave sold his soul to the Devil for quick painting skills!

That only took 4 hours?

It would take me about an hour per model without getting anywhere close to that finish. I'l wander off muttering to myself now if you'll excuse me.

So I've been plugging away over the last few months and the daemons army is now starting to take shape as a full army. Still got a bunch more stuff to paint before I'm done but around 3000pts now.  Further to what's pictured individually I've bumped up my plaguebearers and horrors to 30's now so that I can either field a horde or more likely with the horrors just have some spares for summoning. I started painting the daemons at the start of May, so with the exception of 12 daemonettes which I've had for years I've done it all since then.  Lots of messing about with washes over flat basecoats in order to get various effects with minimal effort.

Bloodletters

Screamers

Flamers

Flaming Chariot

Skull Cannon

Daemons Army

Dave

Ok this has gotten seriously out of date, but on the plus side, here's a mega post update of everything since then.  Think I have done a couple of models other than the daemons but not many.

First off a couple of Greater Daemons

Blood thirster

Lord of Change

Flesh hounds

Plague Drones

Also done a bunch of slannesh stuff but no photos for it as yet.
