Righto gents apologies for the horrendous delays in getting anything further up here.  A combination of the meltdown followed by a hectic week at work and social stuff has resulted in very little progress until last night where I sat down and painted (dah dar dah) 6 bases...

As I mentioned I'm going with some temple bases which I've mostly purchased from FoundationsOfWar, they don't do matching 50mm and chariot bases so I ended up buying some from MicroArt Studios, expensive as hell but the detail on them is far superior.

Ok it's hardly stellar and in fact I've not finished 6 bases, but I do 4 for your viewing, and more importantly I'd really like your input.  Here's where I'm going to say something you'll probably not want to hear from a gamer all that often but boys, check out my rim-




Choice of 4 and I'm unsure what to go with and bearing in mind I'm hoping to pick up some decent painting scores (despite the minimal effort) which of these do you lot think looks best?

Saurus will obviously be in need of a shield but that is roughly how they're going to look, I may go back at a later date and detail him up but that should get it on the table to start with.

Those bases really do add a great flavour to the figs. Keep u the good work Dave

I prefer the contrast with the darker edging so number 3 and 4 from the left. The black is a bit standard (I use it on all of mine) so I'm plumping for number 3.

Are you going to more colour to the bases?

Thanks for the input I was favouring the darker colours too. For more colour I've just got a load of jungle foliage, I'll probably just use it on the movement trays to add some colour.

Also done the steg base.

Sorry, I realised I didn't answer your question, just to add confusion I like 2 and 4. 4 looks most effective but the black does detract a little from the look, 2 is the most neutral to my eye.

That base is ace mate, did you do all the script yourself?
