Chaos Gnomes of Fairyland

Hi all!

I'm finally starting a second army, and I must say I'm really excited. I think I have VC burnout. The amount of models and packing up and raising zombies etc is killing me at the moment so I need a break.

Why chaos dwarfs?

• Cheap. I got my army for £55.
• Strong. And I'm a gamey bastard these days
• entirely different to vc
• fit in a very small box

I'm also on a mission to bring as much gamers rage as possible to the table.

- Few people like chaos dwarfs
-They will be painted sparkley and girly
-They will [hopefully] take all the toys off the table
-Oppponent will then be beat by a girl playing with glittery toys, and proceeds to ragequit.

I didn't want ANOTHER magma army, so its developed into a fairyland theme. Heres the plans

Infernal Guard - normal dwarves, gnome hats
Kdaii - a horse with flower hair, standing in a pond with ducks
magma cannon - I has flamecannon, not sure how will girl up yet
Deathshreiker rocket: stonethrower with the cup bit made into a flowerhellcannon - not sure yet, scratchbuild, maybe involve a pig
hobgoblins: night goblins
goblin riders: same, from o&g

And I think that's it so far!

I'll write down the paints as I use them. I got some tufty meadow stuff for the bases.

This is intending to be a very short project.

So what do we have so far?

Goblins, all freshly based, magnetised and ready to be painted (cant be arsed stripping will just paint over Yeos crappy job) The horse isnt stuck down, but you can see the scale.

Most of my stuff has come, except characters and some terrainyness.

So heres the army so far just all together




Heres the archers I started painting today... want to base coat them all, chuck a bit o highlighting on, chuck a bit o ink on and BAM DONE.

I also bought the GW drunken dwarfs. I intend to put them all around the base of the k'daii, who will be sporting a large amount of male horse juice. and they will have white on their beards.

Can't wait to do the banner.

Nice colour scheme.  Where do the three unpainted ones come from?  I love the buxom halfling with the horned hat.  (Oh and yeah, that's absolutely my type  )  The horse is making me cry, though.  He could have been so happy.  You aren't nice, Annie, not nice at all.

The characters are from hasslefree, I painted them last night. The pole is for the battle standard to go on.. just need to settle on a design. Need to get a better photo as this doesn't do them justice, i'm really pleased with their paintjob

I realised I never actually uploaded my finished pictures! I'll put some up in the next week or so.

I am working more on this as I only initially made a net list army to break outta vampires, but stupid tournaments have pretty much comped it away  Heh so I need to change with the times.....maaan.

A unit of duck riders and a boob giant are in progress, pics also soon!

Never ever seen anyone take a seige giant so gonna make it a "thing". Also wan to play with the mortar too, so if anyone has any spare ogres, would be grateful!

And I'm making 4 peices of themed terrain too, so watch this space! ANy suggestions for terrain?

Made a start repainting the Pegasus Wizards Tower, awesome model, really awesome!
