If you've got a few of the knight sprues the lances on those models work well as halberds on the warriors saving on any additional purchases being required.

Good tip. Sadly only have 5 lances at present - unit of 5 Warriors anyone?

Dispicable! I can't do that, everything must be properly modelled exactly as it is at great expense to myself in order to accommodate my outrageous OCD.

When threads go bad!

So if I was to go halberds, realised I could use combination of the Games Workshop ones and spares from the Knight Sprue to do my 24, would you recommend going for shields to help whether the storm of crossbow fire they will attract?

If not any thought on what to model in the other hand?! As far as I'm aware the Warriors sprue doesn't come with empty second hands - just shields or extra weapons.

Thoughts? As always as I am my usually indecisive self!

Andrew (Toast) used great weapons as halberds as they take both hands up.

As for whether to use shields it depends on how many missile weaons/magic missiles you expect to face. Also, I think the choice comes down to the rest of the build - are the warriors going to attract the firepower? If so, go for it otherwise the points are best spent elsewhere.

Aren't you planning on buying another box of Knights anyway? Might be able to get one or two from each Chariot you make, too. Then you have command taking three spaces in the unit... Then you'll have loads of spare halberds! I'd add shields too, definitely.
