A couple of years ago at the club, a large Irish chap called Seamus (I know, I know) suddenly bellowed "That's why I hate these 'cking random play cards...." at top volume. The room fell silent for a minute to observe his rage.

If I am looking for a hitty and reasonably forgiving team, would this describe orcs? what other races should look at?

I want to give it a go at some stage. Goblins sound very very appealing.

Does anybody have a rulebook that they could lend me for a week or so?

It is a downloadable rulebook as it is pretty much fan written, which has given it much better balance, the current version is living rulebook 5 you can get it  at http://www.bloodbowlonline.com/LivingRulebook5.pdf
