I had a few games of this with Pete yesterday trying out the new weather and terrain packs. With the additional factors in play it makes for a really interesting game.

It would be good if we could get a couple  more people playing this.

Yep, was good to give this another go. I'd say it takes 2-3 games to really get into the flow of it all, but the games are reasonably quick.

I'll leave a couple of my packs with the playmat at the club for a few weeks in case anyone fancies giving it at try - I'll probably need to nab them back in a bit but the packs are pretty cheap to pick up. I'd recommend just starting with the regular rules first (Dwaves and Orcs being the easiest to pick up) before mixing in the weather and terrain, though they do make the game very interesting.

Yep great game, gets crazy when you start making your own mixed race decks..

It's going to get even crazier in a bit as well:

Ww2 and pirates vs ninjas sounds great, having sequels for all 3 existing packs is a bit dull however...

Yeah, though my main worry would this kind of 'feature creep' with monsters, mages etc all being added. There is  slight danger that they could bloat out what started out as a reasonably simple and elegant mechanic with too many fiddly bits.

Saying that, the Undead movement cards were fun to play with and I did find myself wishing that some of the older races had access to a card or two that had the same thing, so I guess I should wait and see.

The undead v templars set does seem stronger than the earlier ones so as long as the 'creep' is avoided and they bring the original decks up to the same power level it should be fine.
