Hey there,

This will be a log of my Witch Hunters with Inducted Imperial Guard army. Whilst it was the Eldar that originally grabbed me, the models and options of the Witch Hunters has won me over. As such i've decided to focus on making them my main army. I like the idea of my Inquisitor Lord having his own regiment of guard, so I will be trying to paint them in the same colour scheme, whether or not it will work we will see!

As I complete a model i'll post a finished picture on this first post, the models are as follows:

Army Picture:
Inquisitor Lord with Retinue:
Inquisitor Lord Kazamarov:
Canoness:
Command Squad:
Eversor Assassin:
Battle Sisters Squad: Being painted
Veteran Sqaud:
Seraphim Squad:
Vendetta Gunship: Being built
Rhino: Nearly completed
Exorcist:
Leman Russ Executioner:
Penitent Engine:

Iyanden          W:1  D:1  L:0
Bad Moonz      W:6  D:0  L:2
Tempest (BA)  W:3  D:0  L:0

Peter S

The rhino is nearly complete, just a few more touch ups to be made:

Spray painting out the bathroom window, ventilation is tough with no garden and living on a main road!

Boltgun Metal for the treads:

Added a few decals, transfers, white dots and the fleur. Just need to get the top sorted, highlighted and attach the banner now:
Iyanden          W:1  D:1  L:0
Bad Moonz      W:6  D:0  L:2
Tempest (BA)  W:3  D:0  L:0

Test model for the sisters is done, and I'm very happy with it. Just need to highlight with blue, however I can't find the right shade at the moment. Details such as the eyes and that still need to be done, and it could do with a touch-up. Now to try some basing!

Spray painted black:

Nearly there:

Exiting the Rhino:

Bad Moonz      W:6  D:0  L:2
Tempest (BA)  W:3  D:0  L:0

Picked the Vendetta (Valkyrie) up on Thursday and it looks very daunting! Let alone painting just to build the thing. Ah well a busy weekend.

All those parts:

Bad Moonz      W:6  D:0  L:2
Tempest (BA)  W:3  D:0  L:0

The paint scheme looks great you seem to get really 'clean' reds against the black. I can just imagine the look of the whole force coming across the table, keep it up, would love to see some closer details of your test model if your camera can manage it?

Nice improvisation work with the spray booth!

The Valkyrie looks just like the old airfix kits I had as a kid! (hope you managed to get an OG discount on that beauty! :wink;m::)

Keep it up can't wait to follow this one.

Cheers guys,

I did get a good OG discount :)

You should be able to click on the pictures which will enlarge them, and then click on them again for a super zoom. If not then i'll try and see where its going wrong.

I can't claim too much for the paint scheme as i'm just following the one from the GW website, those reds did take ages though, about 10 layers for each section!

Looks great so far, so tempted to crack open a Valkyrie just to build the thing.......

Peter S

I would definitely recommend it! Took me a fair few hours, though dropping the cockpit on the floor and having to rebuild it probably doesn't help!

So here's the Valkyrie built and sprayed. I've been staring at it for 30 minutes now too scared to touch it with a paint brush. Can't get the colour scheme right in my head either.

I glued the front guys arm too far to the right, which meant I had to file it down in order to get the cover on. The wings are also detachable to make transport easier and I'm in the process of magnetizing the base and weapons. They'll be added at a later date.

Lummy, that is a big beggar!  :ninja:

You just have to pick a scheme and plunge right in!
