Ok, so now I look again I am forced to admit it is great, love it.

I think the thing that really wins it for me is the look on the rats face, fits perfectly!

It almost looks like it needs a Red Baron paint job.

Yeah the magnets hold them fine... super strong!!.  You can even spin the blades on the magnets for that added realism!!

Im gonna try and add some Warpstone to the left hand side to balance the model... he'd be flying round in circles with the weight of the cannon otherwise!

Maybe you could connect the wyrdstone to some kind of glass effect warp lightning containing globe behind the chassis, and then from that to the cannon, all with suitably chaotic pipework?

Good work Mike, but I agree, cannon could be a bit more 'chaotic' + model needs balance. Give it some pipework, and will be amazing.

almost done.

Tried to paint the cannon and metal like rust and its actuallt come out OK.

Sorted out the balance issue with some skaven inginuity!! (warpstone is a bead from the missus's jewellry making kit)

That is great, love the really skaven looking warpstone holding device. What with the bead and the chain it almost looks like it should be a piece of jewelery, ahhhhh a WLC brooch.

Niffty! Is the chain loose or glued into immobility.
Are you going to mount it on a charriot base?

Chains loose... im going to attach some wires running along it connecting the warpstone and cannon.

Will be mounted on whatever base I can find!... should be a chariot base though if being correct.

With this 90% done i've almost hit my target of painting 2K ratties in the reverse colour scheme for the GT heat 3.

Just got some basing to do really....

What do you mean by the reverse colour scheme mike? Good work on the painting btw. I really need to put a spurt on for the POS! :(

Skaven according to the fluff are coloured as such:

Grey Seers : Grey
Bog standard ratties : Brown

basically according to skaven fluff the greyer the fur the higher rank you are etc.

So what I did with mine is do the Clanrats etc as Grey Furred and the Greyseers / Engineers as brown fur.... so Brown Seer!!

reverse colour scheme.... makes a change from the brown horde you usually see.

Ah I see! I guess you could have made the characters white instead of brown instead, although then you wouldn't have had such a catchy name for the colour scheme!
