The sixth and final chapter pack in this cycle..

QuoteDuregan locks eyes with the goblin. Malice fills the creature's red eyes, and Duregan's hands clench about his hammer. Dodging a first swing, the goblin slashes. At the goblin's belt is the glittering faceplate of a dwarf-made helm. Duregan sees it and recognizes the name runes on it. "That was my brother Hazkal's! By Grimnir goblin, you will pay for this!" The fight renews, and Duregan can barely contain his rage. Swinging wildly, no thought for skill, the dwarf backs the goblin towards his hammerers. Pain lances through his side, as the goblin manages to land a blow in between the joints of his armour. Duregan twists, trapping the blade and the goblin. "This grudge is not yet settled, grobi! Where is my brother?"
-From Bleeding Sun, an included short story

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the final Battle Pack in The Enemy Cycle, Bleeding Sun!

Bleeding Sun is the sixth Battle Pack installment of The Enemy Cycle, the linked expansion series for Warhammer: Invasion, a card game of intense warfare, clever kingdom management, and epic questing. In this exciting conclusion to The Enemy Cycle, all six factions gain valuable new powers... but who will come out on top?

With cards like this, DE are going to be top of the pile soon

QuoteBlessing of Myrmidia brings strength to the Knights of the Empire, while the vile Beast of Rot feeds on the power of Nurgle. Meanwhile, the Orcs tame a Giant Spider and the High Elves harness the power of the Moon Staff of Lileath!

This 60 card pack contains 20 different never-before-seen cards designed to augment existing decks and add variety to the Warhammer: Invasion metagame.

This winter, the battle between bitter enemies concludes, but the war is just beginning..

Mike

I read that as purple sun and almost quit invasion.
In the summer of 2011 he moved North... spreading the word of House OG.

I am Mike of House OG.  Ogger in the North.  And Ginger is coming.

No luckily apart from Dwarves currently being a little OTT, Invasion is going from strength to strength IMO, the LM and VC cards add so much to the mix, totally combo tastic.

The DE will soon (with more cards like this) be totally capable of going toe to toe with the stongest decks..

Very nice indeed, especially if you get some counter strike on them as well...

QuoteWelcome back to another Warhammer: Invasion card of the week spotlight! Bleeding Sun, the final Battle Pack in The Enemy Cycle, will be on store shelves in December. So far, we've previewed the horrific Dark Elf Hex Soul Stealer, the vile Beast of Rot, and one of it's favorite inflictions, Necrotic Spasms. Today, let's move on to an Empire card that may help swing the balance back toward Order: Warriors of Ulric.

If the defending army has the power of Ulric behind it, expect the unexpected; we've seen the truth of this before with the Empire tactic Ulric's Fury. Similarly, Warriors of Ulric can deliver a nasty surprise to an attacking army by popping into a vulnerable zone just before defenders are declared! And since Warriors of Ulric bear the Knight trait, they'll work well in future Knight-themed decks, providing synergy with cards like Higher Ground.

Bleeding Sun will bring the end of The Enemy Cycle, but the war between the forces of Order and Destruction is just beginning. Who will rise to dominance of the Old World?

And the Orcs get some love in this as well

QuoteOne Orc's Scrap is a two-cost Orc support card that, when placed in the kingdom zone, lets a player sacrifice a development to draw a card. This handy effect may quickly get you the cards you need to launch that final devastating attack, and in the meantime, you can combine it with Treasure Vaults to get some additional power. If you find yourself light on resources and cards, play Innovation followed immediately by the action on One Orc's Scrap (several times, if needed). You'll suddenly grab the units you need to smash your enemy, as well as the gold to afford them!

This is a beauty, at home in any deck

Got my deck this morning and I am very happy, some really nice cards on top of the ones seen in this thread already...

A run down of a few of my faves...
Dwarfs get 5 cards including a new quest, my favourite being 'Honour in Death', 1 and 2 loyalty to play, tactic: Sacrifice a unit to destroy target attacking unit..

Awesome card, at home in any Dwarf deck of course and at cost 3 in an empire or HE deck well well worth it....

Empire get 2 cards, the above 'Warriors of Ulric' being the best

HE get 2 new attachments, 'Moon Staff of Lileath' is going straight into my HE/LM deck, 2 Cost + 3 Loyalty, attach to target HE unit, when attached unit attacks or defends, deal 2 indirect damage to each opponent. A great card, that gets even better in multiplayer  :cool3:

Orcs get 4 new cards, one to me that is amazing is 'Smash Der Beards', 2 Cost + 3 Loyalty, tactic, target attacking unit gains a hammer for each development in the defending player's zone..Just so good....

DE get 2, but it's all about the above 'Soul stealer'....Nuff said... :hydra001:

Chaos keep on getting better, and this card is excellent for getting rid of high resource or card draw units...

'Necrotic spasms', 1 Cost + 2 loyalty, Disease attachment, attach to target unit, at the beginning of it's controllers turn, target unit takes 1 uncancellable damage....

And then there are 3 neutral cards, the above 'Assassin's blade', the below par 'Grail Knight' and my favourite card in the whole pack (even better than Soul stealer, Just  :wink;m::)

'Advanced Engineering'

2 to play, is a support card, that generates one hammer, also has the following action:

'At the beginning of your turn, look at the top 2 cards of your deck, place one of those cards on the top of your deck and the other on the bottom'

So many combo's and uses for this amazing card, the only problem I have is which of my decks to put it in...
