Title: Journey into Nyx teasers
Post by: fatolaf on April 04, 2014, 11:18:20 am
If the abilites are anywhere as good as the artwork, then I am looking forwards to these bad boys

Every guild will now have a god, exciting times for Golgari, Izzet and the 'weaker' guilds...

I assume we are doing the usual draft thing for this release - are you doing any club discount this time?

Yep but it will be slightly higher as prices have gone up, so a box would be £85 for club members...

I may need to splash some white into my monster deck

He's pretty good... Still prefer old Ajani myself but will clearly play him. Setessan Tactics is the thing that has my decks pumped!!!

I started to think about running the new Ajani, Elspeth and Kiora in the same deck - then my bank balance started to cry.

Aint that the truth!!!

He does seem to be a fairly efficient way of getting Elspeth out on the table when you need her... Have a feeling both will end up in my Selesnya deck until Ravnica block falls off.

Green blue got a whole better, new Kruphix combined with the prophet just became insane...

(Mana ability is badly worded IMO, but it means your mana remains and does not drain at end of turn, instead turning colourless)

This land virtually pays for your box of boosters, expect to see this going for £50+ as it will go straight into modern as a must have land as well....
This will also open up 4 colour decks and you will see all pro tour players have 4 of this in every deck...

City of brass is going for 5-6 pounds and it is nearly identical. I am sure it could be a £20 card, if it creates an archetype, but I doubt it is £50.

Atheros looks brutal for an aggro deck. Luckily I have just built a W/B aggro one.    http://mythicspoiler.com/nyx/cards/athreosgodofpassage.html

We shall see, demand for that card will be huge, prices will go crazy...
