Welcome one and all to the fifth OG Games painting contest!

If there are 10 or more entries, there will be a £10 OG Games gift voucher up for grabs for the winner (Mods can enter, but cannot win the prize. If a mod comes first the prize will be deferred to the second place figure)

The theme is Conversion

This competition has a very open theme.  I'm after entries which have slightly more done than just a head or weapon swap.  Rather than answer loads of specific questions for what people think is ok, just enter up whatever you think is ok and the voters will decide!

One specification is that entries should be a single model

Please see the Painting Contest Rules first

The final date for entries for this competiton is midday on Saturday 12th June 2010, so you've all got loads of time

Good luck to all who enter!

This thread is for entries and WIP shots only, any other posts will be removed

Cheers,
Maelzch

Here's my entry nice and early, a converted Chaos Giant, to give him the Mark of Tzeentch (that 6+ Ward save has been very useful):

Just as I don't want to mislead any one, I modelled this before Christmas last year, then it got left on the painting table for ages, did the basecoatting in February time (then got distracted by new Beastmen models) and finally got finished off this month (during the competition dates), honest - hope that seems fair, don't want to cheat!

Here's the details I converted:

The scar is moulded on out of Green stuff, also added the tentacles erupting from the boil, and the Tzeentch necklace (made from some cheap jewellery I cut up, bought in the Debenhams sale!, and a Tzeentch icon from Games Workshop direct).

Also added a Pink Horror in the cage as some kind of pet he's captured - if you fancy putting a different model in your Giant's cage my tip would be to use a plastic model, plastic glue joint holding the cage is having trouble holding the metal Horror!

Here's my entry, the warrior priest from my mordheim, made mostly from marauder bits!

Heres my entry did it a fair while ago its part of a fully converted Tau army with the theme that all the Tau are replaced with human versions. The idea was that this was a race of human who willingly joined the Tau Empire and fought against the Imperium during the Damocles Gulf Crusade and earned the trust of the Tau. I love this army and want to do more but it is sooo expensive to do. This is one of 2 Broadsides in the Army. The body is a Epic Titan the missiles from the Ravenguard landspeeder sprue and there is also a broadside and a commander kit in there as well. Total spend at the time would have been £75  thank the lord I was staff!
