Right guys.
I'm fairly sure at the weekend we were discussing that the shirts need nicknames on them.
This may have been a drunken hallucination but I'm about 40% sure it wasn't.
As I'm sure we all know you really can't give yourself a nickname, otherwise everyone would be called 'ace' or 'champ' or something equally stupid (Hale pitching for 26 inches... no.)
So we need to come up with some nicknames for people.
Ol I'm sure is going to try and stick with 'fatolaf' for him. To be honest I'm sure the rest of the nicknames we could think up for him would involve wine and I don't think he needs any more encouragement in that regards.
So who have we got who needs a name?
Here's a list with some possible names. Will update it with any further suggestions
well;
Ol. "Fatolaf" "Chateu Neuf de Papp" "Withnail"
Gareth. "Impact hits" (sorry mate!)
JD. "What does a Giant Stag do?!" "Rudolf"
Hale. "Luck is a theme" "Sweet! Smash!"
Lee. "Jäger-fairy" "Raaaagh!"
Honeysett. "The Shuffle" "Tracy chapman"
Stevo. "Ginger Man Garden" "Tokyo Sex Whale" "The Scruffalo"
Amit. "Token"
Loyn. "12 Dice"
Me. "Conan" "Unleash the Dragon" "Khalessi" (you bastards)
Rob Mitchell "Ringbearer" "
Rob "jäger disaster" "dancing queen" "ba ba americano" Ritchie
Any suggestions?
Who else needs a name for their shirt?
Great idea buddy...
For you it has to be Conan :cool3:
Jack is of course 'the shuffle'
Must think of some more....
I need more than 'Loyn' I think, and no Steve, '!@%$#%@' is not an option ;)
QuoteGareth. "Impact hits" (sorry mate!)
Suppose i'll have to try out an all chariot army then eh buddy :cool3:
That word begins with 'C' btw.
Surely something along the lines of Stevo 'the ginger ninja'?

Err how about crutch? No no, that doesn't work, you got owned. Hmmm, tricky...

Please don't. I don't want to see your reaction when you throw 8 into something and do no wounds....
I'll pitch in with Noah "Double Dragon" Tonkin
Or just Noah 'The Dragon' Tonkin ;)
Or Noah 'Unleash the Dragon' Tonkin

Following some of our ridiculous conversations this weekend, I'm going to suggest:
Stevo "Ginger Man Garden" Hursell
or
"Tokyo Sex Whale"
I don't even need the explaination, "Tokyo Sex Whale" should be Hursell's tshirt!
Quote from: jackhoneysett on April 23, 2012, 04:50:30 pm
"Tokyo Sex Whale"
Yep that's the one, but man garden is also great
Amit has to be Mindwaaaayyyyzooooor!
I like 'luck is a theme', sweet! Smash! Is a bit old hat now
We decided over the weekend that Ollie could also be "Withnail" :wink;m::
I just found this little gem on the wikipedia page for Withnail and I. (If you haven't seen the film, watch it right now! But don't try the drinking game)
Quote
Drinking game
There is a drinking game associated with Withnail and I. The game consists of keeping up, drink for drink, with each alcoholic substance consumed by Withnail over the course of the film. All told, Withnail is shown drinking roughly nine and a half glasses of red wine, half a pint of cider, one shot of lighter fluid (vinegar or overproof rum are common substitutes), two and a half shots of gin, six glasses of sherry, thirteen glasses of whisky and half a pint of ale. It should be noted that this quantity of alcohol, consumed over the course of the film, would be fatal.
Oh, and I'm also "Tracy Chapman". I'm not sure why either.

... because when you sing you sound exactly like her.
The fact you also bear a striking visual similarity to her is just coincidence!!!

... I'd actually refer to you as "Snoring F#%^ing C%#" if I got my way.
Mine is Marauder "Silver Fox" Mitch

True, I do often get mistaken for a small dreadlocked black woman.

Oh and Rob, you can't choose your own nickname! That's not allowed! I guess you are already "Mitch."
Or after you brought those 24 amazing donuts to the last Iron OG, you could be "the Ringbearer"!
Presumably mine will end up being 'Ushabti filth' or something ;)
True, normally known as Mitch but Sib did call me the Silver fox so either of them, need to get a OG t-shirt now with all the stuff.
But lets see how bad i am at 40k now. lol.

I've played that... it hurts.
Not as much as the buffy drinking game though.
What's the buffy one?
Drink every time you see a bra strap, Giles cleans his glasses or someone adds a y on to the end of a word to make an adjective.

That's the idea!
We also played the Sharpe drinking game... Drink every time sharpe does something heroic. Unfortunately the guy who's idea it was thought raising an eyebrow was heroic. I was in pieces.
What is unheroic about raising an eyebrow?
Absolutely nothing, which ment lots of drinking :beer2:
Surely as the film starts you raise a glass to your lips and don't put it down until the program ends? ;)
That's like the full metal jacket drinking game, every swear word, use of the word "marine" and each death. The first 15-20 minutes get most people!

Best bet if Sean Bean is on the screen

Trust a medic to take that last sentence on the Withnail and I wikipedia page as a challenge - "It should be noted that this quantity of alcohol, consumed over the course of the film, would be fatal."
:wink;m::

Bean's a Sheffield United fan... He's genetically incapable of doing anything heroic - scum.

Please don't mention that movie ever again...
As I have an OG shirt I guess I should have a nickname on it too... Luckily I never do anything silly or drunken so should be safe on anything embarassing, right?

Hahaha, riiiiight...
Just that little jager disaster in cardiff!
And of course the legendary performance in the portsmouth 'spoons (one of the most amazing things I've seen, don't think I'll ever forget that!).
" Dancing Queen "...? ;-)
Hmm, "jager disaster" has a ring to it!
OP edited, added in ba ba americano as a suggestion as well...

Looking good on the suggestions so far guys.
Any more for any more?
Does anyone know if we'd be able to get names printed on the shirts we have or would we need to get new ones with names on?
