That Standard Bearer looks mental, for me it's a bit OOT.

I think on his own in the photo he does look a bit mad, but hoping in the context of the unit and my army he'll fit in - there's a couple of other mad Pink Horrors!

One of my best mates works for GWHQ and we were discussing those horrid old Chaos Ogre models giving them a slating then realised that the Designer Trish Morrison was sitting right behind us....

This is the kind of awkward thing I do on a daily basis!

Procrastination by Numbers: Update 140 An-ogre Blog Entry Monday 20th October 2014

140.1 Tale of OG Gamers: Tzeentch Warriors – Week 19

With all the excitement of a yet another new range of Nurgle releases, I'm stuck painting old models in my Tzeentch colour scheme.

Something's not right here.

Oh well the good news at least is that my Chaos Ogres are coming along nicely. I've decided to go for a grey skin tone like the old Ogre Kingdoms Games Workshop army featured. It fits the artwork in the current Warriors of Chaos army book better and it feels more interesting to paint than the traditional fleshy colours.

Here's how they are looking so far.

Procrastination by Numbers: Update 141 Big Chaos Things Tuesday 4th November 2014

141.1 Tale of OG Gamers: Tzeentch Warriors – Weeks 20-21

Excitingly I managed to purchase myself a copy of Warhammer: Glottkin, so after a bit of a lapse I am now all over the End Times! Well it would be if it hadn't simply been added to my backlog of Warhammer reading that needs to be done. I now have a pile of both models to paint and books to read – I am drowning in Warhammer admin!

Speaking of which my lack of blogging and appearances at the club may have convinced you that I have reached my own End Times. But no, I seem to just up end surprisingly busy on Thursdays and Saturdays. A situation I must reverse, but not this Thursday as I am already booked. Bloody hell how does this happen!

The good news however is that I have managed to keep up with the Tale of OG Gamers. My Chaos Ogres of Tzeentch are done and dusted and sanded and flocked, but not varnished. Be realistic!

Here they are:

I think I quite like how their grey skin tone has turned out, there were a few stages when they looked like clay and I was a bit worried! The other details seem to have come out well and I'm definitely getting the desired Tzeentch style. Hopefully the look-out Pink Horror doesn't look too bonkers!

"Sanguinius. It should have been him. He has the vision and strength to take us to victory, and wisdom to rule once victory is won. For all his aloof coolness, he alone has the Emperor's soul in his blood. Each of us carries part of our father - Sanguinius holds it all." Horus

So can we expect to see some Daemonic gribblies to march alongside your Warriors and Beasties? :)

Thanks guys for the kind comments!

Yeah have to say a tiny bit tempted to do a small Tzeentch Daemon army to accompany my Warriors - the idea of starting a massive new army keeps making me feel sick but this seems possible!

Hoping will have some time to paint something for November - seem to be so busy this month!

...but at the rate you paint, you should clearly be able to knock them out in a week or so  :wink;m::
