We can yes but for some reason (just ask Ritchie) I have always preferred (back in my magic days) to have everyone on the same number of cards...
Just my personal taste...
Ahhh, the Monica of CCGs. Despite the considerably lager decks I ran with I hardly ever won, I would perhaps have learnt to edit and construct better but it was far more fun to turn up with a mountain of cards and wind you up......

Never had any complaints about the sizing of my deck.

Mike

my guess is its designed for both players to have the same number of cards...

If you have more cards than your opponent then you have a massive advantage in the 'if you run out of cards you lose' stakes.
In the summer of 2011 he moved North... spreading the word of House OG.

I am Mike of House OG.  Ogger in the North.  And Ginger is coming.

yep that has always been a problem, especially when faced with decking decks etc...

though I've yet to play a game that gets anywhere near that stage!

Aye. I guess as the game progresses we might see more degenerate decks emerge (balance is a fickle mistress afterall), meaning having a large card size is helpful. Until that point I stick with my original sentiment that adding more cards makes your deck weaker unless you have a good way of getting to the cards you need consistently.

chaos does already have a load of cards the only purpose of which is to get the opponent to discard from his hand (journey to the gate quest springs to mind).  I would have thought a couple of them on the go would burn through a deck quite quick, thus deck size becomes important.

im happy to stick with 70 then- beauty of it is we can always review as new cards come out anyway.

I don't doubt that in the future there will be decks based around card denial and decking, but until the game evolves sufficiently it doesn't look like a particularly scary prospect just yet.

from a magic experience, it is normally 60 cards with the exceptions of pre-release events which is 40 cards.
Can't remember if you can have a maximum of 3 or 4 of the same card in the deck, if it is 3 I would recommend 50 cards, 4 then 60 cards.
