Random car racing/shoot em up board game

just wondered whether anyone had heard of a board game called 'rush 'n crush' and knew if it was any good.

suffice it to say this looks quite fun- its sort of like 'carmageddon' in a board game.  not sure i'd be buying it but perhaps a slightly less complex game for those looking for something to play with their non-gaming mates. 

Blurb reads thus:

"When you weld guns and armour onto a race car, you need some real psychos to drive them. Break-neck speed and road-rage are not only encouraged, they are required! So we found these psychos, as well as the race where anything goes - Rush n' Crush, the race where there's only room for one on the podium. The winner, the first one over the finish line! The rest clearly haven't got what it takes to be on the Rush n' Crush track... although before the race is over, some may definitely be left on the track!"

I could be interested, all depends on the gameplay. It is following in a list of 'nearly there' games like Battlecars, Dark Future and Car Wars (that I seem to remember being the best) but all their games mechanics never seemed to quite capture the speed and pace of racing and shooting.

Thats because when you move the pieces Ritchie you're supposed to make the 'VROOOoooOOooOOmmmmMmm VrooommmMmmmmM SSSSCRRRREEEECCCCHHHH' noise...

and what you shoot you're supposed to go... 'DAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA DAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA KAAAABOOOMMMMM'

Now Car wars WAS the daddy but it got so complicated it was untrue...

This one I have to say looks quite quite awful, for starters the board components are cheap and nasty and it has taken up the wipeout scholl of motoring, instead of the much better mad max stylee..
