Not sure if this is the right sub forum, but here I go anyway.

Was wondering what you fine folks thought of this game?  I had a copy when it first came out but IIRC never actually got round to play it.  A fit of nostalgia hit me today and I thought I'd look it up on ebay but it currently costs more than a bucket of diamonds.

I spent my childhood years playing Heroquest, but this seems like it might have a bit more to it.

Anyone got a copy?  Could be good fun for OG gaming night.

I saw a 'new' one sell on Ebay for over £350 last week..

I know Eric has a copy somewhere, but I think games have moved on, Descent being an example.

Still I would love to have a go...

gah, nostalgia sure can be expensive.  That Descent looks fairly promising, nothing can beat a good dungeon crawl.

Quest is a great game, one of my favourites.

Needs a fair bit of organising though, as every character has a tonne of special rules.

Have you unpacked it yer Eric?

Funkadelic Erik

Yeah, but it's a lot of books. Three for the main game, then another four for the players. Not to mention the amount of cards and whatnot that need to be brought for each game.

Depends on how you want to play it. There are advanced rules for DM, or there are the basic rules for self generation.

You also need time - the post game stuff takes longer than the game itself. Each character has his own places to go in towns, and special rules for dealing with things. Admin nightmare!

Is that for levelling up experience in a campaign game or something?  Could you not just send your chap in to bash goblins up for a couple of hours?

You could, but it's missing out on the best part of the game.

If we can get four, then I might do a single game in Sept.
