Due to them basically being far too expensive to use anymore, the shop no longer accepts paypal.

But carries on taking all major credit & debit cards...

Dave

They now being so stupid as to price themselves out the market... Utterly ridiculous.

Oh well, no biggie, credit card it is then.

Shame, PayPal should have cornered the market and continued to maintain a steady success, but I suppose corporate greed and possibly a victim of their own success with having to support a larger organisation have pushed them into the 'high ticket' customers.

How much is Paypal charging now?

Put it this way, Moneybookers charge us around £1 for a £100 transaction, Paypal charge nearly £2 for a £15 transction, does not help your margins at all...In fact it kills them,,,, :endit:

Whats worse if you pay them £20 a month for a business account, the only benefit you get is they keep 10% of all your money for 90 days at  time, in case of charge backs. Last year they had nearly 2K of our money earning them interest before I cancelled that particular account....

As for using them on Ebay, as a seller, you pay listing fee, 10% selling fee and then about 5% for your paypal fee, with them being able to refund your money to any buyer they want..

I even had them refund a buyer on Ebay, who they had done a random check on, and decided for him that I had taken too long to post the item and he should get a refund and the transaction cancelled (they of course still getting their fees). The length of time that had gone since he won his item..........3 hours  :endit:

You can't make this sh*t up
