A new Line of Books from FFG set on the Arkham Horror, CoC universe..

Not a bad choice of author for the first in the series

Quote"So what do you think, doc?" said Harden, leaning over his shoulder and blowing a cloud of toxic smoke into his face. "Wild animals, right?"

Vincent coughed and lifted the skeletal arm. He peered at a number of deep striations in the bone.

"It certainly looks like something ate the flesh directly from the bones, but the bite marks don't look like any animal I know that would devour a human being."

"So don't keep me in suspense, doc. What do they look like?"

Vincent hesitated. Though he was no stranger to the darker underside of Arkham, he knew better than to draw unnecessary attention to it. Yet this was the sixth body to be discovered like this in the last few years.

"They look like bite marks from a human jaw," he said.

QuoteFantasy Flight is pleased to announce Ghouls of the Miskatonic, a novel by Graham McNeill. Something terrible is stirring in the fathomless depths of the ocean, and dark days are ahead for the sleepy town of Arkham. A young college student dreams of ancient powers best left forgotten. A determined professor searches for answers as he becomes embroiled in a series of harrowing events. All the while, a heinous plan is slowly unfolding...

From the pen of New York Times Bestselling author Graham McNeill, Ghouls of the Miskatonic is the first book in The Dark Waters Trilogy. With a large cast of familiar faces from the Arkham Horror board game and an engrossing tale of mystery and horror, Ghouls of the Miskatonic is sure to please fans of Arkham Horror and H.P. Lovecraft, as well as readers of mystery, horror, and suspense alike.

Author Graham McNeill is well-known for his work with Black Library, including such books as A Thousand Sons, False Gods, Fulgrim, and Mechanicum. Ghouls of the Miskatonic will be his first novel published by Fantasy Flight. He had the following to say about his latest work:

"I've been a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft's work for many years now, and his influence extends into all my work like the tentacles of Great Cthulhu himself. The eldritch horror, the cosmic bleakness and the mass of slimy, horrible monsters so terrible they'd drive you to madness just by hearing their name strikes a real chord in me. Lovecraft's writings have influenced so much in the worlds of horror, SF and fantasy, that to be given the chance to tell stories of the mythos is just about the most exciting opportunity I've ever been offered. I mean, who wouldn't want to write stories of witch-haunted Arkham, with its sagging, gambrel roofs and crooked streets, where the mist clings to the buildings and all manner of abominations might lurk in the shadows...?"
