Gateway for the win baby!
QuoteEpic Spell is a new Trait that appears on certain especially powerful tactic cards. Beginning in the Arcane Fire Battle Pack, every faction gets one. Epic Spells have a high resource cost, effectively balancing out their massively powerful effects, and these effects help to define the play style of the tactic's faction. For example, when Arcane Fire was first announced, we saw the Dwarf Epic Spell Rune of Hearth and Home. The Dwarfs are known for their high defensive capabilities, as well as their ability to repair damage to their capital. It's no surprise, then, that this Epic Spell heals their capital entirely.

The forces of Chaos, as one might expect, wield an Epic Spell both powerful and destructive. Cacophonic Scream is a ten-cost tactic that simply deals eight damage to one section of a target capital. Like Flames of Tzeentch, another Chaos tactic that delivers unexpected damage, Cacophonic Scream will keep your opponent paranoid and defensive.

Check back next week when we preview another card from Arcane Fire!
Holy Crap! There had better be a one Epic spell per deck rule, or this could get messy! :))
These cards coming soon in May....
bloody hell, power creep much!!!!
at least that'll virtually guarantee everyone buying that set!!
curious to see the orc spell
Thing is you will see dispel scrolls etc..
The current Empire Comet of sigmar spell for (4) can copy one of these , the high elves can dispel one for (2), it will just make everyone a bit more cagey when you opponents starts drawing 10 resources a turn...
Epic.
That chaos card that lets you look for tactics in your opponents hand then play them at no cost looks like a nice option now then...

i dont think so, as once it's burning it's destroyed rather than damaged. If it was only damaged, then developing it more could 'unburn' a zone too
No simply heal all damage, there is no damage once a zone burns
hmmm I had kinda hoped they wouldnt do that.
The booster is out now and in stock..
Having opened my deck, I am pleased to say that the Epic spells are actually quite balanced and that there are some very nice other cards in the deck..
what's the Orc epic spell do?

IMO the best card of the lot it not even an Epic spell, its a DE Hex (1 cost, 2 loyalty)
Attach to a target unit
Treat attached unit as though it's printed text box were blank (except for traits)
Nice... :cool3:
that's got the potential to be awesome! Shuts down that annoying flappy empire bloke!
