I got very excited watching the countdown reach zero on the GW website (the joys of being at home away from work combined with a tragic life!!). Obviously will be ordering here though not on GW! Was slightly disappointed as expecting to see the 8th edition box set and look at the new models, but that's not up yet and the picture of the rule book - just looks like a book, as expected!

Awesomeness. Now I just have to decide if I want the bog standard book, the hefty grimoire version, or the 'white manbag' edition with those crazy gold templates.
As luck would have it I will be at Tides of Chaos the weekend it gets released - do you know if Ol will be there, and if it'll be possible to pick up the book there?
Oh yes I'm gonna get me self one of these. I think the manbag version is only available through GW. No worrys I can't afford that anyways.

Yeah I'm setting up a deal with Ol that people who order it through the site can mark a delviery option as collection at Tides, or somthing along those lines.

We have had to change that for WFB, we are basically selling it at £1 over cost, the book weighs a ton and we will basically lose money each time we post this, we are only charging a £1 to post it, so we will still lose a small amount, but it helps..
So the more people who collect the better!... :thumbsup:

I would recommend everyone getts the magic cards as well, as the spells are quite complicated with various effects..
I turned my lvl 2 Bray Shaman into a Chimera last night, with 4D6 ATTACKS + poison!.... :))

Just so everyone knows, the skull dice and the engineers ranging kit are extremely ltd, (ie 4 of each per store), the dice are now all sold out, so we only have the engineers kits left to pre-order out of those 2...

Should be, was meant to turn up yesterday but now they say before 5:30 today, which means if it come sat that time, we will have to post 1st class on Friday am, so should turn up on Saturday..
Next question, do I cut mine out the bindings, hole punch the rules and stick them in a folder so I don't have to carry all that excess around... Decisions, decisions!
I wouldn't bother. There should be a mini book in the starter set, and they always turn up on ebay.

Bart likes 8th edition. He will be playing Warhammer again. At least until the BigDudes invent a new set of gamebreaking combos and you'll be fighting the same stuff again and again. Magic in particular is not going to be the old routine of roll, roll, let through, scroll the big one. It's looking good!

my 2 arived on wednesday ol, just to let you know. played my first game vs skaven, went to a bloody draw (God damnned :doomwheel001:) majic is so random, using a lv 4 some turns she was unstoppable with bucket loads of dice, but some times i got burnt with only 2/3 dice to use.
