So I've never really got around to satisfactorily magnetizing any of my figures to move trays. I'm thinking the best and most secure way is to stick a neodymium thin magnet under each base and coat the move trays in magnetic tape from Ebay.

What do others think? How do you do it?

I've tried tape before and find it doesnt always stick to the models so well. Instead I superglue a neodymium magnet under each 25mm or 20mm base. You might want to put a few more on models which are larger, heavier or have a high centre of gravity. You will want to get some magnetic sheet to line your movement trays.

OG Games sells magnets which fit Warahmmer bases perfectly. I also find Magnet Expert have a great range as well and delivery items quickly.

What do you mean when you say magnetic sheet?

This is what OG Games sells:

I tend to use magnetic card. Its also self adhesive and is essentially card with a magnetic strip in it. Its thin so is easy to put on movement trays and is easy to paint over and cut with a pair of scissors.

Some people I've also seen use sheets of metal if they have access to this.

Thanks! I was definitely trying to avoid metal as I tried that before without much success

What you actually need is the flexi metal sheets for the lining of the trays, it is so easy to use and cut..

Then for single figures you use the magnets on the under side of your base (our ones fit perfectly, many dont)

For cavalry, chariots etc you use the magnetic sheets to line the bottom of the bases...

DONT use magnetic sheets to line your bases, this does not work well with magnets at all...

Any questions you can PM me
