God in my time I have played some great RPG's, some awful and some plain wierd.
Off the top of my head I started in about 81 with D&D and then played many systems, often GM ing them..
WFRP, AD&D, Marvel Superheroes, Judge Dredd, Gurps, RuneQuest, TMNT, ACME (or was it Toon ??), DC RPG, Starship Traveller,Call of Cuthulu and many  many others that were too awful to remember or were simply made up by our group.
Whilst I dont play any more, I would love to take part in a good RPG campaign at some point on the future, probably the latest version of WFRP or Call of...

What systems have you played in the past, what do you play now, what would you like to try (and buy... 8))

(Typo fixed Dan.... :-[)

I used to play a lot of D&D at school. That was mostly of the, erm, 'free-form' variety - i.e. we didn't know any of the rules, and didn't own any dice. Most of our campaigns were made up as we went along, played in corridors outside the canteen, in the back of classrooms, or knocking around, bored, around the goal while the sporty kids did something or other down the field with a ball. I've got some great memories of that period. Played many of the same games as you from the looks of it, though add Tunnels and Trolls (my god that was an unworkable system!). Generally, anything that was featured in White Dwarf from issues 70ish to when they went GW games only was picked up and tried at least once. Do you remember the solo boardgame Chainsaw Warrior? Blinding. I was a major fan of 2000AD as well, so Judge Dredd obv featured.

Later I got into the White Wolf lot - Vampire the Masquerade, Werewolf etc. Great background and imagery, but they tended to attract the more tedious Goth element, so haven't played them for years.

Most recently I have really enjoyed Shadowrun but due to not playing for ages I evilBay'ed all my sourcebooks, something like 80 of them. Got about £250, which funded most of the WoC army, so no complaints  ;)

I've played RPG's for years but only really 2 or three systems to be honest.

Currently play D&D at least once a week, we have a nice D&D 4th edition campaign running, much to the disgust of some of the 3.5 ed diehards in the group who refuse to play 4th ed!!.

Also playing in a long running Starwars game, got a pub in richmond who give us a room once a month for free to play so all good.

Also tried my hand at Dark Heresy, but not that keen to be honest.  Probably need to give it more time!.  Was a long time ago... enjoyed the story more.
In the summer of 2011 he moved North... spreading the word of House OG.

I am Mike of House OG.  Ogger in the North.  And Ginger is coming.

Never played an RPG in my life, but I've got a copy of the main Dark Heresy book indoors.

Yep still got it, and block wars as well..
I was also mad fan (wife as well) of 2000AD and twas a sad day when I gave away over 300 issues to the charity shop years ago...

I still have chainsaw warrior up north somewhere. I loved the Judge Dredd stuff, a big 2000ad fan, Dredd and Slaine in 1 comic with a bit of Rogue Trooper and Strontium Dog thrown it, can never be wrong.

Sorry I drifted away there... I used to love playing RPGs and want to get back into it, my problem is just finding the time!!! :sad;m:

I have had a few people try to get me into Dark Horsey, is it any good?

Yeah its decent, the character creation and advancement rules are good.  As with all of these things its the DM and players that make it good or not ;)
