Hurrah, now the important question - has the shakaway legal department been in touch telling you to cease and desist from a) plagurising their colour scheme and b) sullying their good name by association with your reams of twaddle?

What do you mean this is amazing free publicity for them, and the fact they're going bust is probably a bigger worry for them!!

Unfortunately you now face a fresh challenge, now you're unleashed on the wider world and no longer have the safety net of a specific 200pts target per month... Personally I'd have completed all of the IoB box.

Considered running a hobby status diary to track your progress?  I've finally hit the limit of my unpainted mountain that I'm working on an attempt to run down the backlog a little.

Yeah those Swordmasters are such beautiful models that I think I'm going to have paint them (and their pretty good in battle too), also might do the remaining unit of Ellyrian Reavers, I've found them very useful in my battles so far, so a second unit might be in order. I think that my future diary/blogging will be more of a stop/start here's what I've done in the last couple of weeks, here's something disgusting a box and here's a crap joke.

It's been a long journey for your high elves and I'm impressed you stuck through (and painted another army at the same time!). I'm curious to see where your painting goes next.

Me too, maybe Warhammer 40,000?!?! - Maybe not!

I'd vote for that. Although it would have to be something even wackier than before and never seen on a blog before!

I may have set the bar too high, I think I found as the months went on it became harder to surprise everyone with just how random I can be, you were all too used to it!

Well done sir, a splendid achievement and a superb read through out.

I can reveal that we at OG Towers have fended off bids from rival forums to secure the services of Matt on a 5 year contract. Season 2 of (insert name here, TBC) will debut Q3 2011...

Beautiful, it was an emotional final episode and brought a tear to my eye.
It's a great achievement Matt, not only the quality of painting and the sheer bucketloads of beastmen you've churned out, but also entertaining us for 10 months.

As one of the other potential Tale of OG gamers entrants I only managed 1 month and 6 models, so I can comprehensively say that you beat that! Did this final installment have anything to do with the OG Forum being down this morning? I thought perhaps the traffic level of people viewing this momentous occasion might have crashed the website. Or perhaps Julian Assange is a fan, and his minions brought down the servers with a cyberattack in protest at the series coming to an end.

You have to do a dragon next! The storm of magic model looks beautiful, perhaps you could stick a high elf prince on that. Or even a dragon mage if you're feeling particularly crazy! Anyway, for now just enjoy your break

Oh and I don't have an explanation for how we came 3rd either - I seem to remember I was horrendously hungover at the time and mostly useless, so I think it must have all been down to you!

Has my agent been making negotations again behind my back? Still Q3's a long way off isn't it, oh no wait it's next week s**t!

Cheers, glad you enjoyed - slightly worried about the crying, but each to their own. Yeah I probably should stop painting Beastmen now! Onto Warriors and Bretonnians, and maybe Dark Elves or even 40K - no.

I wasn't going to say anything!

Tempting, I have an un-built High Elf Dragon kit somewhere, so maybe could do a lord and a mage and put one of them on the Dark Elf Dragon. It would be helpful if they'd actually release some pictures of this and the Storm of Magic set, seriously I am getting quite impatient now! I hope the new White Dwarf arrives today or tomorrow - before I go on hols!! Oh and I am thinking Dragon Mage as my army probably needs some spell casters - am I crazy?

This seems entirely unlikely - the bit about it being down to me I mean, not you being hungover (that sounds more plausible).

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the forum...

As the forum fills up with rage quitters, the only narcissistic conclusion I can draw is that you're all missing my blogging rants about Warhammer and the rest of the world. So the good news that the brand new rehash of the Tale of OG Gamers - High Elves will be hitting your computer screens/android phones next week! Oh yes! So Ol put down your cereal, and get ready to wipe clean your computer screen (that sounds far wronger than it should) as the milkshakes coming back!

Matt, it may have taken me most of the weekend but I have at last caught up! It was with a palpable sense of disappointment that I heard it was coming to an end so I am delighted that, like a phoenix guard from the flame, it is set to return. Please keep this bright spark in a sea of negativity (even with grumbling!), and the thought of not sharing another Valentines day with you is nigh on unthinkable.

Ha, ha glad you enjoyed! And it's good to know I won't be spending another Valentine's Day alone, sadly only in a metaphorical sense, but I'll take what I can get! The good news is that bar Clapham burning to the ground tonight, and what are the chances of that happening - gulp! Then blogging should recommence tomorrow. Are you excited? If so you probably need to get out more!
