This is a great one. We went to see the Mars Volta on Monday night, and this old boy was having a whale of a time.

We would be just off the screen to the right (or bottom due to angle), next to the looking-but-trying-not-to-be-seen-looking chap in the check shirt.

Sir, I doff my hat to you in salute.

Why do we not get keyboard players like that anymore?

Also the position of funk flautist is sadly remiss these days!

I don't really care for Star Wars, so the idea of watching a 70 minute fan review of the Phantom Menace was hardly an enticing prospect , but damned if it isn't one of the most consistently funny things I've seen in a long, long while.

Hey I watched it!

Some interesting costumes... I used to do the convention thing in my teens, used to really enjoy it, now it makes me cringe a little bit  #-) Has the many costume thing taken off in the last few years? I remember noting when I used to go that there were hardly as many people dressed up as conventions in the USA.

I saw some cosplayers at the station a few weeks ago, and I thought "No, you're not my people."

The number of cosplayers has gone up dramatically at the London Comic Con the last couple of years. They're were hardly any when I first went in 2005, now a quarter or a third of the attendees are cosplayers, or dress up at least.

I spoke to a few at this one and there's loads of pure cosplya events in the UK now up and down the country.

Looks like they have a lot of fun, if I had the balls (and a costume) I would go.

Just paint your balls (and the rest of you) blue and go as Dr. Manhattan.

I liked the photos, although I did find it funny you said you were the director of a slide show :p

Didn't think about that until after, I used Windows Movie Maker (very amateur I realise) and it stuck in those bits at the end and I didn't think to change the 'directed by' bit 'to made' by instead.
