Apparently there is a chap on Warseer who is saying that GW are doing a surprise release of O&G in May. Obviously I want to believe this but could it be true?

maelzch

There was hints to this in the GW newsletter sent out on friday, no confirmation of minis yet though.

Though the rumours have it that there will be plastic boar boys and multipart plastic trolls.

Other less confirmed things (read, wishlisting) includes:
Savage orc plastics
new common gobbo plastics
new gobbo wolfrider plastics

we shall see...

the GW news was....

QuoteOrcs & Goblins are the scourge of the Warhammer world, an unending tide of ferocious raiders. For every greenskin Waaagh! defeated on the field of battle, another arises to trample a swathe of destruction across the land. Orcs and Goblins live to fight!

Orcs & Goblins are one of the most popular Warhammer armies and it's not difficult to see why: they can field warriors of all shapes and sizes from tiny Snotlings to Giants, and every shape of Orc and Squig in-between. They have access to a bizarre array of war machines and mounts, and some of the most entertaining special rules of any Warhammer army. And thanks to their inclusion in the great-value Battle for Skull Pass set, are often the first army a hobbyist collects.

So this May we're celebrating the Orcs & Goblins in all their choppa-wielding glory. We're under orders from the Big Boss to keep quiet about exactly what's going on so be sure to check out games-workshop.com in April when all will be revealed and pick up May's issue of White Dwarf for an in-depth look at all things green.
In the summer of 2011 he moved North... spreading the word of House OG.

I am Mike of House OG.  Ogger in the North.  And Ginger is coming.

It's to make sure they are pretty much all plastic ( a la Empire) before 8th Ed's release...

Plastic Squigs FTW!

I doubt we'll see a new book just yet. Plastic trolls will be nice though.

I gotta admit, I do want a greenskin horde....

Boar Boyz Boar Boyz Boar Boyz Boar Boyz! WAAAAGH!

That is all.

Well, nobody is really sure what the next fantasy army release is going to be, so it could be an O&G book as a surprise. Don't think it'll happen, but GW have been known to leapfrog books up the schedule in the past.

I got an email from them and it's on their news section of the website that there are O&G releases coming in May, but as said above there is no confirmation of what is coming out.  Wonder what this does relative to the rumours of 8th ed being O&G/Empire, presumably quashes them and gives greater likelyhood to the other races suggested.
