Played Carcassonne this afternoon with my fiancee and two friends of ours. My fiancee doesn't really like board games, but I managed to persuade her to play with a bribe of going to the shops and getting her favourite potato crisp based snack!

I'd only played once before, at CWG, and although it took a while to recall the rules, and explain it, we played and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely be purchasing more expansions (bought the Princess and the Dragon as well, but didn't use it today to try and keep it simple) and recommend anyone who likes board games to buy it. From OG of course. We sat outside in the garden in the sunshine, and after playing had some French Onion soup, very appropriate I guess for Carcassonne! I imagine it would be a fantastic game to take on holiday as well, as the box is fairly small.

Ol - I'm sure I'll be keen on getting the Inns and Cathedrals, and the Traders and Builders expansions, as well as the River II and the Count expansions which are only little. Probably others as well.
